Schecter Stiletto Custom-5 Bass. Having played Fender basses for over 30 years, I bought this bass because the neck size at the nut was the same as a Fender Precision, 1.75 inches. The difference being the Schecter has 5 strings and not 4. After just a few days of playing this bass I find that even an old dog can be taught that 5 is better than 4. Schecter Stiletto Custom-5 Bass has a wonderful sound through a GK 2-10, 1-15 system. The bass arrived very quickly, was set up nearly perfect, and was flawless in construction. The laminated neck is very slick and feels the same as my Precision, as I expected it might. I tuned it down 1/2 step and found that the low B string handles it very nicely and has a monster bass tone. The guys in the band smile bigtime when I use that low B string. WWBW was able to help me purchase what I consider to be the last Custom 5 in Vampyre Red available in the U.S. My only complaint is that I had to buy an aftermarket case since there were no Schecter cases available anywhere.
