Electro-Harmonix The Mole Bass Booster is more accurately a reissue version of the Hog`s Foot, pedal version of the plug-in mole. By no means will it "just add a little texture", it is strictly a bass booster, brings out extreme bottom end by filtering out mids and high frequencies, boosting what`s left. The single knob is a simple volume control, not a blend as the description would imply.
That being said, it does its one trick very well and is a USEFUL effect. Sounds great driving a distortion, fuzz, or overdrive.
